Congressman Burgess Owens loans Jan his 1980 Super Bowl Ring

On Saturday Jan Morgan attended the Arkansas GOP’s African American Coalition Douglas Lincoln Dinner.  The event was held at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion.  Jan is pictured above with Super Bowl Champion and newly elected Congressman Burgess Owens who loaned her his spectacular 1980 Super Bowl Ring.  Owens represents Utah’s 4th Congressional district and is one of two black Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Jan Morgan also spoke with Iverson Jackson, the President of the Arkansas Republican Party’s African American Coalition who said,

It’s exactly what Dr. King said, we want to be judged by the content of our character not the color of our skin.  I don’t think with my skin.  I think with my mind that God gave me.

Jackson also spoke the truth about the Democrat party and it’s racist history.

It is the party of slavery.  It is the party of Jim Crow.  It is the party of the Klu Klux Klan.  They don’t want to own that but it’s theirs.
