Matt Hutcheson of the El Dorado News-Times covered Jan Morgan’s visit to the Union County Republican Women at the El Dorado Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. He reminded readers incumbent Senator John Boozman will face Morgan in the May 24, 2022 Republican Primary.
Hutcheson noted Jan’s strong conservative policy positions.
Morgan’s platform lists an anti-abortion stance, gun ownership rights, lower taxes and a strong national defense among her top priorities as a candidate.
He also described her impressive resume.
In addition to the gun range she co-owns with her husband, Morgan has since 2016 been the spokesperson for Citizens for Trump and worked for 27 years as a television news anchor and reporter. She also worked as a broadcast journalist teacher in Texarkana, Tex., and has served on the executive board of the Arkansas State Baptist Convention.
After the event, Morgan took to Facebook to express her thanks to the group.
Thank you Union County Republican women for inviting me to speak to your members last night! What a great group of ladies! I talked with them about the three greatest threats to our country and what each of them can do in their own communities to help us fight the destructive policies of the Biden administration! I might have also mentioned that I’m running for US Senate and would love to have their support.
